First Look: ‘Captain America,’ ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ and Rachel McAdams Updates Terrence Malick’s Romance Flick

Captain America: The First Avenger

With the summer season in full swing and Thor cashing in at the box office, Marvel has released new images for their next superhero movie – Captain America: The First Avenger. We get an image of Chris Evans covering up his Captain America uniform in a battered jacket and a look at one of the HYDRA soldiers.
Last week, the first image from Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was released and, while we don’t think we see any bloodsuckers in this image, we do get a look at Benjamin Walker as the emancipating 16th president. For those not familiar with the book-turned-movie adaptation, President Lincoln’s mother is killed by a supernatural creature which fuels his passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers. The horror-thriller is being directed by Wanted’s Timur Bekmambetov and co-stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Mary Todd Lincoln, Anthony Mackie as William Seward and Dominic Cooper as Henry Sturgess.
Update on Terrence Malick’s Untitled Romance
OK, granted yes, this isn’t a new pic from Terrence Malick’s super, super secret untitled romance movie slated for a 2012 release, but star Rachel McAdams has opened up a bit about this mysterious project. Currently promoting Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris at Cannes, the actress spoke with Collider and said the plot seems to revolve around a love triangle with McAdams, Ben Affleck and Olga Kurylenko. The movie also stars Javier Bardem and Rachel Weisz. Frankly, that’s all that has been revealed, as McAdams doesn’t even know what kind of role she has in the film. When asked, the actress responded,I don’t know. I’ll find out when I see the film. But, it’s a romance, as far as I can tell.”
