Find Out Which Acclaimed Director Will Helm 'World War Z' Sequel

Get ready for a zombie tidal wave.

Paramount announced today that it has chosen The Impossible director Juan Antonio Bayona to helm their World War Z sequel.

Brad Pitt will return to produce and star in the sequel to this year's breakout summer hit.

Bayona gained acclaim last year for the harrowing drama The Impossible which earned Naomi Watts an Oscar nomination. He's also gained acclaim internationally during his brief career including 2007's The Orphange.

According to THR, Bayona was on a short list of potential candidates to helm the sequel. No writers are attached to the project yet, but Bayona will oversee the writing process.

Does Bayona helming the World War Z sequel intrigue you? Would you have preferred a different director?
