Final 'Harry Potter' Film to Premiere at Trafalgar Square

Harry PotterWarner Bros. recently announced, via its Harry Potter Facebook page, that the premiere for its final Deathly Hallows film will be at London's Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square July 7, 2011. That's huge news for the fans of the magical franchise – it will be the first premiere to take place at Trafalgar Square, a popular tourist attraction and iconic landmark, and deserving for the finality of the films.

In the press release, WB promises the premiere will be the "most spectacular yet," and of course we can expect Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and just about every celebrity in Britain to make an appearance on the red carpet. Most stateside Potter fans will probably watch streaming footage of the premiere online, but I don't doubt there are a handful of diehards out there willing to jet set to London for the event. Now that WB has announced the date and venue, has that changed your summer travel plans at all? And what do you think about the chosen venue? Is it more suitable than other recognizable landmarks like the London Eye or Tower Bridge?
