'Fast & Furious' Director Justin Lin to Helm Next 'Bourne' Movie

The next installment of the Bourne franchise just became Bourne & Furious.

Universal Pictures has named Justin Lin as the director for the next chapter in the ongoing Bourne franchise. Lin helmed the past four Fast & Furious movies beginning with Tokyo Drift and capping his franchise run with this past summer's Furious 6.

Deadline reports that Universal is angling for a summer 2015 release.

Jeremy Renner is scheduled to reprise his role of Aaron Cross. Renner starred in The Bourne Legacy in 2012, a spin-off launching his character's storyline. The film went on to make $276 million worldwide.

Lin has proven to be a skilled filmmaker in the action genre and he's helped Universal make a boatload of money from his four Fast and Furious films. It seems like a good fit. What do you think?
