With the Super Bowl trailer premiere just days away, we now have the official title and plot for Fast and Furious 6. The sixth installment in the Fast franchise returns stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster and welcomes new additions Gina Carano and Luke Evans.
So what will all these actors be doing, besides revving their engines and pulling off crazy stunts? Here's the official synopsis:
Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.
Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.
Jim Carrey is keeping busy this year with The Incredible Burt Wonderstone set to hit theaters in March and Kick-Ass 2 in production. It appears now that Relativity Media has secured Carrey for the lead role in their upcoming action-comedy heist flick Loomis Fargo.
The film is insipired by true events about a disgruntled bank employee who teams up with his work crush and together they conspire to rob the financial institution. Along with their inexperienced accomplices, they run off with nearly $20 million, but leave a trail of evidence in their wake.
Helming the project is Jared Hess, best known for directing Napoleon Dynamite and to a lesser extent, Nacho Libre. Danny McBride is also involved in a producer role.
Are you excited to see this sudden resurgence of Carrey's comedy career? Does Loomis Fargo sound like a movie you'd want to watch?

Today a new featurette arrives giving us a look at new footage, the scope of the movie and sheds a bit more light on the plot. Judging from this featurette, this movie is looking like it's going to be wall-to-wall action sequences, or as Bruce Willis puts it, "a big rocket" of a Die Hard movie.
A Good Day to Die Hard slams into theaters February 14.
