Fandango’s Halloween Poll Results: Top Movie-Themed Costumes of 2010

Still trying to figure out what to dress up as for Halloween? Do you and your friends want to do some crazy, movie-related group thing but just don’t have enough good ideas? Well fret not Fandango Fanatics, because we have some solutions for you. As we do every year, Fandango polled over 2,000 moviegoers to find out about their Halloween plans. To show you how important movies are when it comes to Halloween costumes, 58% of those polled said they’d be dressing up in some sort of movie-related costume. But which ones are going to be the most popular?

Iron Man costume

For men, the top three honors are going to Iron Man, The Mad Hatter and Kick-Ass. Somewhat surprisingly, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has also found himself on the list (thanks to The Social Network) at number 9, one spot ahead of Harry Potter. Poor Harry, after six films it seems kids are a little bored with his nerdy look. One thing to note is that no Twilight costumes appear in the top ten, which may not be a shocker since these are male costumes we’re talking about.
But what about the females? The top three in that category are Alice in Wonderland, Red Queen (from Alice in Wonderland) and Barbie from Toy Story 3. Once again Twilight is nowhere to be found, and instead we’re seeing costumes like Salt (9), Hit-Girl (4) and Princess Fiona populate the list. Surely we’ll see some Twilight love when it comes to group costumes, right?
Yes! The Twilight Saga pops up as number four for group costumes, with The Mad Hatter and Alice, Ken and Barbie, and Shrek and Fiona rounding out the top three respectively. Check out the full results from all three polls below, then tell us which movie-related costume you’ll be wearing this week.
