Fanboy Fix: 'The Dark Knight Rises,' Tim Burton's 'Dark Shadows' and 'The Avengers'

Marion Cotillard Joining ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

Marion CotillardLooks like it’s an Inception reunion on The Dark Knight Rises, as Marion Cotillard is the latest to be "in discussions" for a role in Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film, most likely as the love interest for Bruce Wayne. If she signs on, she’ll join fellow Inception castmembers Tom Hardy (Bane) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (TBD) in the film, which will find Batman squaring off against Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) and the tough-as-nails Bane.
Thoughts on which character Cotillard might play? Many say it’s Thalia Al Ghul, who is the daughter of Liam Neeson’s character from Batman Begins. What do you think?
Tim Burton’s ‘Dark Shadows’ May Add Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham Carter
Deadline reports that Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows is gaining momentum by looking to cast Michelle Pfeiffer and Burton regular (as well as his wife) Helena Bonham Carter in the adaptation of the cult ‘60s supernatural TV show.
According to the site, Pfeiffer would play Elizabeth Collins Stoddard and Carter would play Dr. Julia Hoffman. They’d be joining Johnny Depp, who’s playing the lead role of the vampire Barnabas Collins, as well as Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley and Bella Heathcoate. The TV show, which surrounded the spooky goings-on inside a mansion, featured stories that included monsters, witches, warlocks, ghosts, zombies and werewolves.
