Fanboy Fix: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Rumored as Batman, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart Join 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'

Justice League may still be a few years from arriving in theaters, but Warner Bros. seems to be locking down talent for their 2015 summer blockbuster.

Hitfix reports that Joseph Gordon-Levitt "absolutely will be appearing in Justice League as the new Batman." According to the site, JGL may be appearing in a promo bump at the end of Man of Steel (which is due in theaters next summer), similar to what Marvel did to the run-up to The Avengers.

Needless to say, comic book movie sites have been in an uproar since the rumor hit last night.

Meanwhile, checked in with JGL's reps who, not surprisingly, refuted the rumor entirely and said that it was most likely leaked by Warner Bros to drum up interest in the home video release of The Dark Knight Rises next week.

Do you think JGL will don the Bat Suit or was this all a publicity stunt to drum up home video sales?

Bryan Singer tweeted out big news for X-Men fans this morning when he reported that the sequel to X-Men: First Class will feature Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart. The duo played Magneto and Professor X, respectively, in the first three X-Men movies. Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy portrayed the characters in First Class.

The sequel, titled X-Men: Days of Future Past will likely see the young and older versions of the iconic X-Men characters, similar to the comic book storyline. Singer also announced that McAvoy, Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence (she played the shape-shifting Mystique) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast) have been confirmed for the cast.

Might we see other X-Men characters from the story arc including Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Gambit and Jean Grey? Singer only comments saying, "More to come."

Which other X-Men characters would you like to see in this sequel?
