Over the years John Leguizamo has carved out a career as a solid character actor including roles in Spawn, Moulin Rouge, The Lincoln Lawyer along with voicing the sloth Sid in the Ice Age franchise to go along with his almost 100 acting credits.
Now Leguizamo has added two high-profile projects to his calendar. In addition to joining the cast of Ridley Scott's The Counselor, scripted by award-winning author Cormac McCarthy, Leguizamo will also play Red Mist's bodyguard, Javier, in Kick-Ass 2.
Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Nicolas Cage are all set to reprise their roles from the 2010 film. Filming begins in a couple months with the film eyeing a 2013 release.
A screen test of Tom Hardy's appearance on Star Trek: Nemesis from almost a decade ago has surfaced online and gone viral. Check out the video below. Can you hear Bane in any of the lines?
A lot has been made about the re-shoots and re-writes that are currently taking place for World War Z. Drew Goddard, who recently wrote and directed Cabin in the Woods, was brought in to punch of the script following a pass made by Damon Lindelof.
Now Goddard is downplaying the issues facing the film saying, "I think a lot of it got blown out of proportion. I feel bad for the sort of magnifying glass that that movie's under because this is just a normal part of the process, this is just what happens. My involvement was just watch the movie, give some ideas, write some scenes that might help, ADR, just sort of fill in stuff, which is what I did."
He also talked about wanting to reboot Daredevil saying, "You're talking to a guy who had quotes from Daredevil painted on his wall while growing up. Even when I was 18, I still had the blood red door with the, 'I have shown him that a man without hope is a man without fear.' That was what I loved and so it's the sort of thing that if we can find the right project, I would love to do it."
David Slade dropped out of helming a Daredevil reboot a couple weeks ago and FOX is currently looking for someone to get the film into production before the end of the year, when the rights to the character revert back to Marvel.
Goddard doesn't have any projects upcoming, besides the long rumored Cloverfield sequel, so might he be the guy to bring Daredevil back to the big screen?
