Fanboy Fix: Iron Man Cameos, 'Eclipse' Soundtrack and Captain America's Suit

No More Cameos for Iron Man

Iron Man

While doing a radio interview with KROQ's Kevin and Bean show, Jon Favreau admitted that Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) will not be making a cameo in either Thor or Captain America: The First Avenger, and that the next time we'll see him will be in The Avengers, which is due out in 2012. Some fans thought Stark would show his face in at least one of the upcoming films since he cameo'd in The Incredible Hulk, and is the most familiar character tying all of these other characters together right now. Especially since the end of Iron Man 2 brought us a Thor teaser; you'd think Stark would play some sort of role in that film as it gets underway. Oh well.

That said, look for Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury to make another appearance or two in order to help spread continuity across all these films. [via Comic Book Movie]

Listen to 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' Soundtrack

The much-hyped soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse doesn't officially hit stores until June 8th (the film hits theaters on June 30th), though fans can stream the entire album right now over on the soundtrack's official website. While there you can also buy different versions of the soundtrack, from a CD that includes special packaging and fold-out poster ($16.99) to a relatively no-frills digital edition ($14.99). Some of the bands featured include Metric, Muse, The Bravery, Beck and Vampire Weekend. Honestly, it's a pretty sweet lineup, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't streaming it as I write this. (Shhh, don't tell anyone.)

Captain America's Suit Revealed (Kind Of)

Marvel hasn't released any official images from Captain America: The First Avenger, though some very cool pieces of costume concept art have arrived online over at AICN from an unknown reliable source who claims these images are, in fact, pictures of the costume Chris Evans will wear in the movie. Though it's missing Captain America's trademark helmet wings, the outfit has a gritty combat feel that I really like. Looking at these images, I can just picture some sweet scenes of Captain America batting away bad guys with his giant shield as bombs explode all around him. Since most of the film takes place during World War II, I'm expecting some pretty badass battle sequences.

Captain America

Captain America: The First Avenger hits theaters on July 22nd, 2011. What do you think of Captain America's outfit?
