Shane Black May Write and Direct ‘Iron Man 3’
Fanboy Fix: ‘Iron Man 3,’ ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and ‘Transformers’ on American Idol?
Now that Jon Favreau is out of the fold, Heat Vision reports that Paramount and Marvel are eying Shane Black to possibly write and direct Iron Man 3. Black, who some of you may remember from back in the day when he was the talk of the town after writing scripts for Lethal Weapon, The Monster Squad, The Last Boy Scout and Last Action Hero. Then Black, overwhelmed by the industry and his own success, took a bit of a breather, only to return in 2005 with the excellent Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
Five years later and his name is in the running for Iron Man 3, which could be a huge move for the guy. Whether or not he agrees to do it is another story, but as fans of the franchise (and of Black) we’d love to see his fresh, original voice attached to the next Iron Man movie. Man would that give us something to look forward to. Thoughts?
Who is Joseph Gordon-Levitt Playing in ‘The Dark Knight Rises?’
We still don’t know for sure what role Gordon-Levitt is taking on (Robin? The Riddle? Dr. Strange?), but Comic Book Movie has received a tip that claims Gordon-Levitt will be playing gangster Alberto Falcone in the film, who’s the son of Carmine Falcone, played by Tom Wilkinson in Batman Begins.
It’s totally conceivable that Gordon-Levitt would be playing the son of a gangster who’s returned to Gotham to avenge his father’s imprisonment at the hands of Batman. The Falcone boys also have ties to Selina Kyle, who’s being played by Anne Hathway in the movie, so it would make sense that this is the route they’d take – especially since it would tie together all three films, in which the gangsters of Gotham play a big role in each.

A Transformer Auditions for American Idol?
In case you missed American Idol and the San Francisco auditions, one guy thought it’d be fun to dress up in his really cool homemade Transformers costume and sing the song "Born to be Wild." While at first he sounds pretty good, dude gets so caught up in his costume and the fact that he’s signing while crunched up in the form of a car, that he forgets the words to the song. Oh well, it would’ve been nice to have our first Transformers-inspired American Idol winner. Check out the hilarious clip below …
