Fanboy Fix: 'Green Hornet' Images, Pixar's Ant-Man and Del Toro's Next Directing Gig

The first images from off the set of The Green Hornet have started to leak online, courtesy of a number of different outlets (though the images we have here come from CrazyCritics). Now, for those (like me) who sometimes get confused, The Green Hornet is the film starring Seth Rogen as a newspaper publisher who doubles as a masked crime fighter alongside his trusty sidekick Kato. It is not The Green Lantern, which is a superhero flick starring Ryan Reynolds. Memorize the differences folks, as we'll totally be quizzing you later on.

These first images show Seth Rogen on set as Britt Reid, the Green Hornet's alter ego, as well as Cameron Diaz (who plays Reid's love interest), director Michel Gondry and a separate pic with the new Kato, played by Jay Chou. The Green Hornet is due out next December 10.
Will Pixar Make 'Ant-Man' Their First Marvel Movie
Ever since the Disney/Marvel merger, folks have been talking up possible Marvel-related projects that could involve those crazy cats over at Pixar. Ya know, perhaps there's a superhero property (or several) out there that lends itself more to a Pixar sort of adaptation than something live action.
Well, it didn't take long for the buzzing to begin, and according to Entertainment Weekly (via BleedingCool), there's a chance the long-delayed Ant-Man movie could be handed over to Pixar instead of going the live-action route with Edgar Wright (who already wrote a draft and has been attached for awhile) directing. Of course, an animated Ant-Man movie may immediately take away the possibility of having Ant-Man also co-star in the upcoming Avengers movie, though I'd give that up to see what Pixar could do with the shrinking superhero. You?
Guillermo del Toro to Direct 'Deadman' Before 'The Hobbit'?
Though pre-production on those two Hobbit films is well underway with production set to begin early next year, director Guillermo del Toro is teasing fans with a surprise announcement later this week that could have him directing another movie before jumping onto The Hobbit. The man wrote a cryptic email to which contained the following:
In a few days there will be a BIG announcement (big for me, at least) that is not-Hobbit related. BEFORE anyone starts wondering the usual "how does he have time?, Is this detracting form The Hobbit?" etc It is a project that started over 2 years ago, before The Hobbit and will render fruits in the mid-term, not intruding on my Hobbit duties. Rest assured. The key letter is "D"
So based on that note, one would assume he'll be directing a film prior to The Hobbit – something that won't interfere with the latter (which is good) – and that it begins with the letter 'D'. Seeing as the latest film to tout the del Toro name is an adaptation of the DC comic Deadman, there's a chance that's it. However, the original news had Nikolaj Arcel directing. Is del Toro replacing him as director? Could he conceivably direct what we imagine to be a fairly big-budgeted, effects-heavy superhero movie in time to then helm The Hobbit? I don't think it's possible, though I could see this work-a-holic banging out something a tad smaller. Any guesses as to what it is?
