Fanboy Fix: Captain America’s Red Skull Pic, ‘Avengers’ Trailer News and ‘TRON: Uprising’ Trailer

Red SkullCheck Out Red Skull in Captain America

We saw him briefly in the trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger, but now Entertainment Weekly has unveiled the first clean image of Hugo Weaving as the evil Red Skull, who’ll be doing battle against Captain America (Chris Evans) this July 22. Look like someone you’d mess with?

‘The Avengers’ Getting an Early Trailer?

According to AICN, they’ve figured out a way to shoot a teaser trailer for The Avengers which they’ll most likely screen either before or after Thor or Captain America: The First Avenger. I would assume it’d make the most sense to show the trailer in the after-credits sequence for Captain America, since that film leads right into The Avengers, but unfortunately we don’t know where it’s going to land just yet.

Latino Review did chime in with a few additional items, though – and these may be spoilers so watch out – that involve Loki, the villain from Thor, becoming the main villain in The Avengers after getting hold of the cosmic cube and unleashing The Skrulls, a nasty reptilian alien race hell-bent on doing some pretty awful things to earth. Thus, it will be up to our team of superheroes to stop them. Sound good to you?

TRON: Uprising Animated Trailer

Did you know Disney was making an animated series that takes place between the original TRON and TRON: Legacy? Well if you didn’t know, now you can learn more about it by checking out the first trailer. The 10-part series (which seems similar to Star Wars: The Clone Wars) will follow a young computer program named Beck who helps lead a revolution against Clu 2, the villain from Legacy.

The animated series boasts an impressive cast too, with Elijah Wood voicing Beck, as well as Lance Henriksen, Paul Reubens, and Bruce Boxleitner. Check it out below and let us know if you’ll be watching. It premieres in the summer of 2012 on Disney XD.
