Fanboy Fix: Abrams Talks Klingons in 'Star Trek,' Another 'Iron Man 3' Poster and Is the FBI Looking for Spider-Man?

Among the new additions to the J.J. Abrams Star Trek franchise due out in May will be Klingons and Dr. Carol Marcus. Abrams spoke with MTV about both roles and revealed that there was a scene shot for the 2009 Star Trek featuring Klingons that didn't make the final cut.

Abrams says Klingons will definitely appear in Star Trek into Darkness.

"Their role in this is definitely that of adversary and you'll see how that plays out."

Fans have been speculating that Alice Eve's Carol Marcus character would play a love interest to Chris Pine's Captain Kirk and while that may still happen, Abrams says the film won't slow down to squeeze in a love story.

"(Kirk) meets her fairly early on and again she plays a science officer, she's someone who is part of the adventure. I think Chris is right, because it's very much an action adventure movie and once that gets going it's a very difficult thing to park the story. So it's very difficult to do a romantic interlude. Her role is important, she wouldn't be in the movie other wise."

Check out the full interview below. Star Trek into Darkness arrives in theaters on May 15.

Yesterday Marvel dropped another character poster from Iron Man 3. This one features Guy Pearce's nano technology scientist Aldrich Killian. This is the second character poster released by Marvel following the Don Cheadle/Iron Patriot poster that was recently released. You can't help but wonder when The Mandarin, Pepper Potts, Happy Hogan and perhaps Maya Hansen (Rebecca Hall) posters will be arriving online.

Also SuperHeroHype got the scoop on the collection of 3D glasses theaters will be handing out when the film arrives in theaters.

Iron Man 3 arrives in theaters May 3.

Finally, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb continues to tweet daily pictures up on his Twitter account. For the most part, he's been focusing on his crew members, but since his photo series began eleven days ago, there have been some teasers for fans to speculate about.

Here's the latest photo, posted this afternoon, which features a couple of FBI characters. Could the be looking for Peter Parker or are they after another character?

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 arrives in theaters on May 2, 2014, so we're probably going be getting many more of these teaser photos. Let's hope he doesn't spoil the film by then.
