'Expendables 2' Will Be R-Rated, 'Spider-Man' Viral Ad and WWE Films Reboots 'Leprechaun'

You might recall a few weeks ago when Chuck Norris raised some eyebrows by proclaiming that The Expendables 2 would be rated PG-13 so that kids could watch it and it wouldn't offend Mr. Norris' conservative sensibilities. Well, Sylvester Stallone came out this weekend to announce that the sequel will indeed be rated R.

Regardless of rating, the sequel will look to build on the first film's $275 million worldwide gross, by adding new names to the cast of action stars including Norris and Jean Claude Van Damme, who plays the lead villain named - duh - Jean Vilain.

The Expendables 2 opens August 17 where it will compete with a trio of family films: The Odd Life of Timothy Green, ParaNorman, and Sparkle, starring the late Whitney Houston.

Spider-Man Viral Ad Features Capt. Stacy and Vandals

Fresh off their successful and well-received panel at this past weekend's WonderCon, Sony has released a new viral video for The Amazing Spider-Man featuring a mock news broadcast from The Daily Bugle. The video features Denis Leary's Capt. Stacy speaking out about capturing Spider-Man.

The clip ends with a promo of a new website where fans can upload videos of themselves dressed as "the masked vigilante." While it lacks the sizzle of The Avengers, Prometheus and some of the other summer blockbusters, there's still plenty of time for Sony to hype up this film. Take a look at the viral clip below.

WWE Films Possibly Rebooting Leprechaun

Call it the remake you never knew you wanted, or for that matter, still don't want. WWE Films is looking to reboot Leprechaun with its diminutive Irish wrestling star Hornswaggle, aka Dylan Postl, being considered for the starring role.

Leprechaun spawned five sequels and also helped launch the career of Jennifer Aniston back in the early '90s. While WWE Films' slate of features have helped launch a few of their more well-known wrestlers to Hollywood superstardom, the Leprechaun films have been pretty awful to watch.

Would you be interested in watching a WWE Films version of the horror franchise?
