Exclusive Video Spot + Vote: Who Will Win at the MTV Movie Awards?

The MTV Movie Awards take place this Sunday and since we're more than three months removed from the Oscars/awards season madness, let's run through the nominees. But first, a quick, exclusive video spot for two of the top contenders for Movie of the Year...

And now on to the full list of categories and contenders...

Movie of the Year

The Help

The Hunger Games

Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

Who Will Win: No offense to The Help and Bridesmaids, but this is a three-franchise race. Voting in other categories where Potter is nominated suggests that they are the odds on favorite to win. Then again, Twilight: Eclipse beat out Deathly Hallows – Part 1 last year and New Moon topped Half-Blood Prince in 2010. The Hunger Games, though with a passionate fan base, is still a bit young to contend, though Catching Fire and the two-part Mockingjay finale will net the franchise some awards down the line. As much as it seems appropriate for Potter to walk away with one final popcorn trophy, Twilight owns this category. Winner: Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1

Best Performance – Female

Kristen Wiig – Bridesmaids

Emma Stone – Crazy, Stupid, Love

Jennifer Lawrence –The Hunger Games

Rooney Mara – The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Emma Watson – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

Who Will Win: Scratch Wiig and Mara. That leaves two Emmas and a Mockingjay. Interestingly, MTV departs from nominating back-to-back-to-back winner Kristen Stewart in this category. Emma Stone is already lined up to receive the Trailblazer Award and Lawrence's fan base can't match Emma Watson. Winner: This should be a lock for Hermione. Accio popcorn trophy, Emma Watson.

Best Performance – Male

Ryan Gosling – Drive

Channing Tatum – The Vow

Joseph Gordon-Levitt - 50/50

Josh Hutcherson – The Hunger Games

Daniel Radcliffe – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

Who Will Win: This one seems like the easiest category to pick. Channing, Gosling and JGL have their niche fan base and Josh Hutcherson can definitely court a sizeable number of votes, but really, this is Daniel Radcliffe's award for the taking. Again, MTV shuts out Twilight, denying two-time defending winner Robert Pattison a nomination. Winner: Daniel Radcliffe

Best Kiss

Rachel McAdams/Channing Tatum – The Vow

Emma Stone/Ryan Gosling – Crazy, Stupid, Love

Jennifer Lawrence/Josh Hutcherson – The Hunger Games

Kristen Stewart/Robert Pattinson – Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1

Emma Watson/Rupert Grint – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows –Part 2

Who Will Win: It's tempting to go with The Vow or Potter on this one, but K-Stew and RPatz have won this category for three years in a row and that was without a much-ballyhooed wedding. Winner: Kristen Stewart/Robert Pattinson.

Best Comedic Performance

Jonah Hill – 21 Jump Street

Kristen Wiig – Bridesmaids

Melissa McCarthy – Bridesmaids

Oliver Cooper – Project X

Zach Galifianakis – The Hangover: Part II

Who Will Win: This category tends to go to a veteran funny person. Previous winners include Jim Carrey, Emma Stone and Galifianakis from the first Hangover movie. It's a tough category to pick with Wiig and Hill thrown into the mix. History has shown multiple nominees from the same movie cancel each other out, so we can scratch Wiig. So it's Hill or Zach… Winner: Zach Galifianakis. There's not much logic behind it. 21 Jump Street is fresher but Hangover = Galifianakis being dumb.

Best On-Screen Transformation

Colin Farrell – Horrible Bosses

Johnny Depp – 21 Jump Street

Elizabeth Banks – The Hunger Games

Michelle Williams – My Week With Marilyn

Rooney Mara – The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

Who Will Win: The award should go to Johnny Depp, but this may be the one award The Hunger Games walks away with. Marilyn, Dragon Tattoo and Bosses were all genre hits. Winner: Touch up Effie Trinket's makeup, she has an acceptance speech to make. That's Elizabeth Banks for the three people who haven't seen the movie.

Best Fight

Tom Hardy vs. Joel Edgerton – Warrior

Channing Tatum & Jonah Hill vs. Kid Gang – 21 Jump Street

Jennifer Lawrence & Josh Hutcherson vs. Alexander Ludwig – The Hunger Games

Tom Cruise vs. Michael Nyqvist – Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

Daniel Radcliffe vs. Ralph Fiennes – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

Who Will Win: If we're going by actual fight, the visceral sequences between Hardy and Edgerton would win. But this is a mass audience, people's choice awards show, so that KO's Gavin O'Connor excellent, under-seen drama from contention. Mission: Impossible could sneak in for the win here, but this category tends to favor popular and successful franchises. Twilight has won this award two of the last three years and so the edge goes to the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort. Winner: Daniel Radcliffe vs. Ralph Fiennes.

Best Cast

The Help

21 Jump Street

The Hunger Games

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

Who Will Win: The Help and Bridesmaids are definite dark horses, but this isn't the Oscars. This isn't even the Golden Globes. Winner: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2

Best Hero

Harry Potter

Captain America

Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games)

Jenko (Channing Tatum in 21 Jump Street)

Who Will Win: This is one of the categories that MTV allows you to tweet who you are voting for. As a result, you can see where everyone stands in the category. No surprise that it's essentially a two franchise race between Potter and Katniss. As of Friday, the chosen one leads the Girl on Fire by just over 15,000 votes and he's pulling away. Winner: Harry Potter

You can see the full list of categories here, including Breakthrough Performance, On-Screen Dirtbag, Best Gut-Wrenching Performance and more. Additionally, this year's Trailblazer Award will go to Emma Stone and today, MTV announced that they will award Johnny Depp with their equivalent of a Career Achievement Award called the Generation Award.
