Courtesy of the good folks at Summit Entertainment, this morning we present an exclusive look at three new posters for Step Up Revolution, the fourth installment in the popular dance movie franchise. Produced by Jon Chu (director of G.I. Joe Retaliation, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, and the last two Step Up movies) and directed by Scott Speer, this one brings So You Think You Can Dance's Kathryn McCormick into the spotlight - joining franchise alumni that in past films has included Channing Tatum, Brianna Evigan and Sharni Vinson.
Here's the official synopsis: "Step Up Revolution is the next installment in the worldwide smash Step Up franchise, which sets the dancing against the vibrant backdrop of Miami. Emily (Kathryn McCormick) arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer and soon falls in love with Sean (RyanGuzman), a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs, called "The Mob." When a wealthy business man threatens to develop The Mob's historic neighborhood and displace thousands of people, Emily must band together with Sean and The Mob to turn their performance art into protest art, and risk losing their dreams to fight for a greater cause."
One more note for fans: the filmmakers are also holding a "Step Up Revolution Fan Ambassador contest," which will basically allow one winner a chance to curate fan content on the movie's official social media channels (including an official fan Tumblr). He/she will also have the chance to fly to Los Angeles to interview the cast and filmmakers at the world premiere. If that he/she should be you, here's the link http://www.youtube.com/DS2DIO to submit a video response as to why you're perfect for the gig. Good luck! And look for Step Up Revolution in theaters July 27.
