Exclusive 'Planes' Character Banners: These Heroes Have the Flight Stuff

We recently ran a column where one of our Family Room bloggers explained how her children were bouncing off the walls with excitement in anticipation for Disney’s Planes. They are huge fans of Pixar’s Cars franchise, and the idea of revisiting a world that exists “above the world of Cars” has them giddy.

I wish I could see their faces when they get a load of these three exclusive character banners Walt Disney Studios shared with us this morning. Meet the stars of Disney’s Planes. We expect them to soar to amazing animated heights this summer:

The posters introduce us to Dusty (Dane Cook) and Ishani (Priyanka Chopra) in "They've got Altitude;" Rochelle (Julia Louis-Dreyfuss) and El Chupacabra (Carlos Alazraqui) in "The Flight Stuff;" and Top Gun veterans Echo (Val Kilmer) and Bravo (Anthony Edwards) in "A Need for Speed."

And this likely is just the tip of the animated iceberg, as it appears Disney has populated this world with plenty of new characters for Planes. Prepare to meet them all when the new movie reaches theaters on August 9, and enjoy the latest trailer, which will have families turning their eyes to the skies in search of entertainment.
