Exclusive: 'Anita' Takes the Stand in Powerful First Poster

Biopics are certainly hot property these days and the trend doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.

This March, Samuel Goldwyn Films will release Anita, a powerful documentary on Anita Hill that traces her life from her early years through her legacy today.

For those who aren't familiar with who Hill is, she was an American attorney who became a national figure in 1991 when she alleged that U.S. Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas had made sexually harassing statements as her supervisor at the U.S. Department of Education and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Thomas was eventually confirmed and took his seat on the Supreme Court, but Hill's testimony brought national attention to the issue of workplace sexual harassment.

The powerful film opens March 21 in select cities and we're excited to premiere the new exclusive poster for the film below. Click for larger version.

Anita is directed by Oscar-winning director Freida Mock who picked up an Oscar trophy for 1995's Maya Lin: A Strong Clear Vision. Mock has also earned four other Oscar nominations for her work.
