End of Week Recap: 'Hunger Games" Revelations, Banned Movies, Time Warner's Ryan Gosling On Demand Channel

The Hollywood Reporter dishes on nine behind the scenes revelations from The Hunger Games.
 
The city of Houston will immortalize Beyonce with a monument. Developers are designing a statue that will highlight the singer's life and showcase memorabilia from her career.
 
An open audition for Peter Jackson's upcoming Hobbit movies had to be shut down when more than 3,000 hopefuls turned up. Organizers expected about 1,000 people to turn out for auditions, but were overrun when three times that many showed up. Police were called in to help control the crowds and the auditions were shut down early due to safety concerns. Only about 800 people actually made it into the audition room.
 
Al Pacino has stepped in to replace Javier Bardem to voice the villain in Despicable Me 2.
 
Shiloh Fernandez and Jane Levy have landed the lead roles in the upcoming Evil Dead remake. Fernandez most recently starred in Red Riding Hood while Levy currently stars on the cable TV series Hot in Cleveland. She will play Mia, a character that corresponds to Ash, who was played by Bruce Campbell in the original.
 
Nick Cannon is teaming up with Lionsgate to direct a feature being described as "today's version of House Party. The film will be a vehicle for Cannon to marry "a lot of young hip hop acts of today" and a "bunch of comedians" together.
 
Flavorwire lists movies that were banned in foreign countries for bizarre reasons.
 
Katherine Heigl is making another movie. She serves as producer and lead actor in a movie that features a plot that Milla Jovovich already explored in Faces in the Crowd.
 
Time Warner is bringing you a Ryan Gosling On Demand channel. The schedule can be found on Time Warner's Movies on Demand through Feb. 27.
 
Russell Crowe was in the subject of a couple of upcoming features. Director Darren Aronofsky reportedly wants Crowe to play the lead in his Noah movie. Meanwhile, rumors started circulating that Crowe was one of the front-runners for a lead role in a pending Robocop reboot.
 
Viola Davis has picked up roles in two more upcoming book adaptations. She'll star in Gavin Hood's Ender's Game and the adaptation of Beautiful Creatures.
 
Justin Timberlake landed the lead role in the baseball themed Trouble with the Curve, which co-stars Amy Adams and Clint Eastwood.
 
Katy Perry and Paramount are working out the possibility of bringing a documentary-style 3D concert movie to the big screen.
 
Former "American Idol" contestant Adam Lambert is now the front-man for rock group Queen. Do people really want to see him replace Freddie Mercury?
 
Jennifer Connelly has been named the new global brand ambassador for Japanese cosmetics and skin care company Shisedo.
 
Adam Sandler is set to co-write and produce a Candyland movie for Sony.
 
The Grey and A-Team director Joe Carnahan is set to write and direct a remake of Death Wish with Frank Grillo to star.
