DVD of the Week: 'Prince of Persia.' Plus: 'Letters to Juliet,' 'Just Wright'

Prince of Persia - If you're looking for a rollicking, CGI-laden romp with a pair of gorgeous stars playing ancient Middle Eastern royalty, then this is the popcorn swashbuckler for you. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Dastan, the adopted son of a king who finds out his uncle (Ben Kingsley) is behind his father's death after discovering a magic dagger that can reverse time. 'Prince of Persia'The dagger is being watched over by his rival from a neighboring city, one Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton). Desert hijinks (and some wild special effects) ensue, as everyone plays the game "dagger, dagger, who's got the dagger?" for about 100 minutes. Though some time could have been cut, rather than merely reversed, in this flick, it's worth a look. Extras: Making-of, deleted scene (DVD/BD); "Cinexplore," an interactive feature that unlocks 40 featurettes (3-disc combo pack)
Letters to Juliet - Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) meets her own Romeo in Charlie (Christopher Egan) on her pre-honeymoon to Verona, where her chance discovery of a 50-year-old letter leads to a journey looking for love across the beautiful Italian countryside. The movie's more than a little fluffy, but the fantastic scenery and Seyfried's appeal are engaging enough. Extras: Deleted and extended scenes, audio Commentary w/ the director and cast, “The Making of Letters to Juliet: In Italia,” “A Courtyard in Verona” featurettes (DVD/BD)
Just Wright- Queen Latifah falls for an NBA All-Star (Common), who only has eyes for her gold-diggging best friend. But, guess who gets the man?? If you can believe the plot of this one, I have beachfront property in Arizona to sell you. Extras: Cast interviews, gag reel, "Common on the Fast Break," more.
