The closing installment for the franchise that ruled the 2000s hits Blu-ray combo pack, DVD and digital download this Friday (that's right, not until Nov. 11), and will include Warner's new UltraViolet feature that allows users to download the standard-def version of the film or instantly stream it. The epic journey had its ups and downs, but by all accounts, Part 2--which saw Hogwarts nearly laid to ruin and a battle royale between our favorite wizard and his mortal enemy Voldemort--tied things up in a way that satisfied critics and fans alike.
Speaking of which, you Harry Potter fans take note: this release, and the larger box set Harry Potter: The Complete 8-Film Collection also coming to stores Friday, will only be available until Dec. 29 when all eight Potter films are pulled from shelves until further notice. Extras: Only deleted scenes on the DVD; the BD adds commentary, character featurettes, details on the final showdown, and a tour of the film led by Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom).
The Change-Up The latest in the old switcheroo genre stars Jason Bateman as a workaholic attorney and dad whose best friend (Ryan Reynolds) charms the ladies and lives a carefree lifestyle. A couple of drinks later and...guess what? Now they have to avoid ruining each other's lives having swapped bodies. Extras: Deleted scenes, gag reel, commentary, featurettes "Time for a Change," about making "the ultimate R-rated movie," and "Family Matter," on the, er, baby poop scene (DVD/BD).
