I am sure your family is just as excited as mine is about the new Cinderella movie hitting theaters soon. We have bought our tickets and are counting down the days! To help make the evening even more memorable, I thought it would be fun to make shirts for us to wear to the movie. I decided to go the iron on transfer route to make the shirts all look exactly the same and to make the process easy and fast! Here’s how you can make your own!
What You’ll Need:
Iron on transfers for fabric
A printer
The bibbidi bobbidi boo design
Scissors
T-shirts
A cotton pillowcase
Scrap paper
An Iron
Step 1: Download the bibbidi bobbidi boo design provided. Or make your own! You’ll notice the design is printed backwards. That’s so the words will turn out the right way when you put them on the shirts! Print out the design onto the transfer paper.
Step 2: To get a crisp look, I cut off as much of the non-design as possible. Just grab a pair of scissors and cut around it! Make sure you don’t cut into the design though.
Step 3: Iron the shirt t to get rid of any wrinkles. Lay down a cotton pillowcase onto a flat surface and lay your shirt on top of the case. You’ll also want to put some paper (use a paper bag or packing paper) inside the shirt so the transfer doesn’t bleed through the shirt.
Step 4: Get your iron nice and hot and place your design where you want it on the shirt. Then, iron over the design, slowly moving up and down and then across to get full coverage. Do this a few times and be sure to apply plenty of pressure!
Step 5: Let the shirt cool down completely before slowly peeling the paper off of the shirt to reveal your new design! Now follow the same steps for the “boo” on the back of the shirt and you’re ready to go!
