'Dredd 3D' Hosting Exclusive Comic-Con Screening, and We've Got Tickets to Give Away!

San Diego Comic-Con usually kicks off with a secret screening of an anticipated film, and this year’s geeky gathering is no exception. We’re pleased to announce that Lionsgate will help launch this year’s SDCC with an advanced screening of Dredd 3D, hosted by the film’s star, Karl Urban.
The screening, presented by this year’s Masters of the Web panel, will be held Wednesday, July 11, at 10 p.m. PST, at Reading Cinemas Gaslamp, located at 701 5th Ave., in downtown San Diego.
And we have five pairs of tickets to give away … exclusively to Fandango readers heading to this year’s Con!

So here's how you win:

Tell us, out of all the action stars out there, who would you like to see team up with Judge Dredd and form the ultimate Judge, Jury and Executioner team? Post your answers below by Friday, July 6 at 5 p.m. PST and we'll pick five (5) lucky winners randomly! One comment per entrant and you must be 18 or older to participate.

We’re very proud that two of our writer-editors will be taking place in this year’s Masters of the Web panel, scheduled for Thursday, July 12, in Room 24ABC. Managing Editor Erik Davis and Fandango film critic Grae Drake will participate alongside editors and writers from such sites as ScreenCrush and ComingSoon.
In the meantime, we’re helping you get excited for Dredd 3D, director Pete Travis’ take on the cult-classic graphic novel that casts Urban as the relentless arm of a futuristic law-enforcement agency hellbent on stopping the peddler of a lethal new drug.

This exclusive new motion poster links you right to a site that allows you to RSVP for the Comic-Con screening. And for the latest information on Dredd 3D, you’re going to want to bookmark the site, sign up for the official Facebook page (, follow the studio’s Twitter account ( and subscribe to the hashtag #JudgementIsComing.
