'Dallas Buyers Club,' 'American Hustle' and 'Gravity' Dominate Critics' Choice Awards

Following this morning's Oscar nominations, movie critics got their chance to make their selection for winners at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards.

American Hustle continued its run of dominance, picking up Best Ensemble, Best Comedy and Best Actress awards. The biggest surprise of the night may have been 12 Years a Slave star Lupita Nyong'o who bested Jennifer Lawrence in the Best Supporting Actress category. Lawrence was not in attendance for the event. Matthew McConaughey also jumped out into the Best Actor award race picking up another win here.

Best Actor – Matthew McConaughey, Dallas Buyers Club

Best Actress - Cate Blanchett, Blue Jasmine


Best Supporting Actor – Jared Leto, Dallas Buyers Club

Best Supporting Actress – Lupita Nyong'o, 12 Years a Slave

Best Comedy – American Hustle

Best Actor Comedy – Leonardo DiCaprio, The Wolf of Wall Street

Best Actress Comedy – Amy Adams, American Hustle

Best Action Movie – Lone Survivor

Best Actor in an Action Movie – Mark Wahlberg, Lone Survivor

Best Actress in an Action Movie – Sandra Bullock, Gravity

Best Ensemble – American Hustle

Best Director – Alfonso Cuaron, Gravity

Best Animated Feature – Frozen

Best Young Actor/Actress (must be under 21) – Adele Exarchopolous, Blue Is the Warmest Color

Best Original Screenplay – Her

Best Adapted Screenplay – 12 Years a Slave

Best Song – "Let It Go," Frozen

Best Documentary – 20 Feet from Stardom

Best Art Direction – The Great Gatsby

Best Costume Design – The Great Gatsby

Best Makeup and Hairstyling – American Hustle

Best Score – Gravity

Best Sci-Fi Film – Gravity

Best Visual Effects – Gravity

Best Cinematography – Gravity
