Daily Recap: Nine New 'Dark Knight Rises' Pics Revealed as Third Act Promises 'Jarring Turns and an Exclamation Point'

No offense to Spidey, but the month of July belongs to Batman. A new batch of photos for The Dark Knight Rises have landed online as buzz that 40-50 critics at a special press screening gave the film a standing ovation at its conclusion. Take a look at the new images and get ready jump over to the Hero Complex, which gives a pretty complete run-down of the early first-act of the film. The site proclaims "The third act of the third film delivers a series of jolting twists and jarring turns and an exclamation point. Nolan's finale takes Batman and his on-screen mythology to a place it has never been before."

If that wasn't enough Bat-news for you, Nolan will have his hand and foot prints immortalized tomorrow morning in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Check out the official flyer released earlier today.

Brie Larson is the latest cast addition to Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Don Jon's Addiction. She will play JGL's sister in the film which co-stars Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Rob Brown and Tony Danza. [Variety]

A new trailer for the crime drama Lawless has landed over on Yahoo. Check out Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy and Guy Pearce in this gritty Depression-era film which hits theaters August 31.

Rumor has it that Disney is quietly developing a sequel to its '90s Halloween comedy Hocus Pocus. According to Moviehole, the film will be titled Hocus Pocus 2: Rise of the Elderwitch which will feature an entirely new set of characters.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then David Fincher must feel very flattered. At least, that's what one YouTube video contends. Take a look and see if Michael Bay stole shots from Fincher's music videos.

The Amazing Spider-Man is currently in theaters and ushering in a new trilogy for the web-slinger. Fans have most likely considered going back and watching Sam Raimi's original trilogy.
