A first look pic of Matt Damon from Elysium arrived online yesterday. Here's the official synopsis for the film, which will offer up first look footage at Comic-Con next week.
"In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard government offcial, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds."
The Jimi Hendrix biopic All Is By My Side starring Andre Benjamin from Outkast as the late rock icon Jimi Hendrix has hit a bit of a snag. The Hendrix estate, which has previously stated that the film was moving forward without their blessing, is now saying that the film will not contain any of Hendrix's songs. Instead, the film will feature songs from 1966-67 with Benjamin covering songs such as The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. [Rolling Stone]

Finally, an image has been making its way through Tumblr of actress/cosplayer Valerie Perez as Wonder Woman. SlashFilm even went to the point of suggesting she be cast as the heroine and Justice League member in Warner Bros.' eternally on-hold film. DC Comics fans will note that she shares the same name as one of Justice League member, The Flash's love interests. Maybe it's all fated. Acting skills aside, what do you think? (You can view her full Tumblr tags here, including more pics as Wonder Woman)
