Daily Recap: First Look Liam Neeson in 'Taken 2,' Daniel Radcliffe Might Voice Guillermo Del Toro's 'Pinocchio' & More

The first three images from Taken 2 starring Liam Neeson have arrived, courtesy of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. Click on them for larger versions.

For those who didn't know, Guillermo del Toro is piecing together a stop-motion animated version of Pinocchio. The filmmaker says he was approached by Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe who is interested in the project. Christopher Walken has also been mentioned as a potential cast member. Del Toro wants Walken to play the fox. Might Radcliffe become the voice behind the little wooden boy?  [ThePlaylist]

Gwyneth Paltrow is circling a role in the Pablo Picasso movie Guernica 33 Days, which is being made by a handful of Spanish filmmakers. Paltrow would play lover Dora Maar. [Variety]

Juno Temple is the latest actor to join Disney's Maleficent, the re-telling of the classic Sleeping Beauty tale told from the perspective of the titular evil nemesis. Angelina Jolie is playing Maleficent while Elle Fanning and Sharlto Copley were cast a few weeks ago. Temple will play Thistletwit, one of the three pixie fairies assigned to watch over Aurora (Fanning). Imelda Staunton and Lesley Manville were cast earlier this month as the other two fairies, Knotgrass and Flittle. [THR]

Russell Brand visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about his divorce from Katy Perry, the recent controversial Time magazine cover and his thoughts on The Bachelor.

Superbad director Greg Mottola has entered into talks to direct a yet-to-be-titled comedy for Fox Searchlight with Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David in negotiations to star. The plot is being kept under wraps but we do know that it will be partially improvised a la Curb Your Enthusiasm. [THR]

Bradley Cooper plagiarizes Jeremy Irons' life in the first trailer for The Words. The film co-stars Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde and Dennis Quaid and arrives in theaters September 21.

Robert Rodriguez's Sin City sequel, A Dame to Kill For finally received a release date. Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke are also returning to reprise their characters from the first film and we also get the first poster, below.

It's hard not to empathize with Ron Swanson, and not just because he's Ron Swanson. His Chicacgo Cubs haven't won the World Series in over 100 years and he'd give anything to see his beloved Cubbies hoist the Commissioner's Trophy in this second ad from New Era.
