So here we are. Less than 24 hours before Comic-Con kicks off. Yesterday we listed all the movie panels taking place around the San Diego Convention Center, along with a poll to see which movies you're most anticipating. To no surprise, Iron Man 3, The Hobbit and Man of Steel lead the way as most anticipated, though there's still plenty of time to get your vote in.
Today, we take a look at the television and, since it is Comic-con, the comic book and sepcial interest panels worth checking out. Needless to say, TV is taking over SDCC this year with a number of hit shows hosting panels in Hall H and Ballroom 20. Let's take a look at what's in store, beginning with Thursday...
Thursday, July 12:
USA Network: Psych, 2:15-3:15p.m., Ballroom 20
Psych returns to SDCC for the fourth consecutive year. The panel will include first-look footage from the show's seventh season, video clips exclusively produced for SDCC, a taste of their 100th episode and lots of fan interaction and question answering. Panelists include James Roday, Dule Hill, Maggie Lawson and other cast and crew members.
Beauty and the Beast, 3:30-4:35p.m., Ballroom20
Earlier this year we reported on Kristin Kreuk (Smallville) being cast in a CW re-imagining of Beauty and the Beast. Now we'll get a first look at Kreuk and co-star Jay Ryan (Terra Nova) in the modern adaptation of the classic fairy tale which finds Beauty re-imagined as a tough NYPD homicide detective who discovers Beast, a survivor of a military experiment that went terribly wrong.
Nikita, 6p-7p., Room 6BCF
Stars Maggie Q, Shane West and Lyndsey Fonseca return to SDCC for Q&A and to present an exclusive video presentation for attendees.
Dexter, 6p.-7:15p.m., Ballroom 20
Stars Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Yvonne Strahovski as well as creative talent will be on hand to premiere the first two minutes of the upcoming season premiere. Not only that, but fans will also see the trailer for the upcoming season of Homeland, as well as engage in the usual Q&A session with then cast.
Marvel: Breaking into Comics the Marvel Way, 10-11a.m., Room 7AB
Marvel may be a movie juggernaut, but it's important to remember that their success is born from their rich comic book history. In this panel, aspiring artists (and there will be plenty of them as SDCC) looking to get their foot in the door at Marvel will want to sit in on this panel hosted by talent scout C.B. Cebulski, artist David Marques and writer Sam Humphries.
IDW & Hasbro Panel, 10-11a.m., Room 9
Hasbro joins with IDW in this panel as they talk about upcoming projects including Transformers, G.I. Joe and Dungeons & Dragons. The panel, which features IDW senior editor John Barber, editor Carlos Guzman and Hasbro's director of global publishing Michael Kelly will also reveal a new Transformers series. The panel also promises some surprise guests, though there's no indication on what it will be. (Hence the surprise)
Stan Lee's World of Heroes, 11:45a.m.-12:45p.m., Room 6BCF
The legendary Stan Lee will introduce his new YouTube channel that tells the stories of heroes, villains and the fans who love them. Joining Stan on this panel will be Mark Hamill, Adrianne Curry, Peter David, Jace Hall and Bonnie Burton. And as with any Stan Lee panel, there will be plenty of surprises from the charismatic comic creator.
Street Fighter: 25th Anniversary Celebration, 1-2p.m., Room 6BCF
Hard to believe it has been 25 years since one of the most iconic fighting games hit the market. Find out all the neat little celebratory plans in store for the franchise, win some prizes and get ready for some surprises.
VIZ Media Panel, 3-4p.m., Room 7AB
VIZ Media returns to SDCC with updates on upcoming releases, new title acquisitions and a few projects they have yet to announce. If you missed their panel at Anime Expo last weekend, here's the perfect chance to catch up on the manga/anime giant and win prizes while standing in line!

The Walking Dead are all over SDCC. In addition to their Friday Hall H panel, the undead are also roaming around at nearby Petco Park in an obstacle course and at this panel, where creator/writer Robert Kirkman and series artist Charlie Adlard will discuss the past, present and future of their zombie-themed graphic novels. This is a can't-miss panel for Dead-heads as the duo rarely do sit-down interviews.
Masters of the Web, 4:30-5:30p.m., Room 24ABC
Join our own Grae Drake and Erik Davis as they join fellow movie bloggers in this panel moderated by Dredd star Karl Urban. If you need added incentive, AMC Theaters will be handing out free movie passes to all attendees!
Legendary Comics, 5-6p.m., Room 6A
Moderated by Chris Hardwick, Legendary's panel will include Mark Waid, Max Brooks, Matt Wagner and others as they discuss upcoming projects and announce a surprise guest.
Live PodCRASH with Chris Gore, 7-8p.m., Room 5AB
G4TV's Attack of the Show host will moderate this special live edition of his podcast which will include special guests galore.
Inside the Batmoblie, 7-8p.m., Room 6DE
One of the most iconic movie cars ever to grace the big screen, the Batmobile is front and center in this upcoming documentary. Attendees will get a special 22-minute sneak peek and be sure to stick around to the very end for your chance to win an opportunity to sit in the actual Batmobile.
Friday, July 13:
Community, 10-11 a.m., Ballroom 20
Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown and Alison Brie anchor this panel for NBC's hit sitcom. Get first-hand info on what's in store for the show as well as a Q&A session with the cast.
The Big Bang Theory, 12:05-1:05 p.m., Hall H
For the first time ever, the mega-popular sitcom hits Hall H for a special screening and Q&A session.
Firefly 10-Year Anniversary Reunion, 12:30-1:30 p.m., Ballroom 20
Browncoats unite! Ten years after the crew of Serenity took flight, the Science Channel reunites the cast and creators for the first time ever. Panelists include Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Sean Maher and Summer Glau for a nostalgic and lively discussion and some special surprises.
The Walking Dead, 1:25-2:25 p.m., Hall H
AMC's smash hit invades Hall H with an informative panel with cast members, moderated by Chris Hardwick. The panel will include a sneak peek at Season 3 as well as discussion about events that took place in Season 2.
Game of Thrones, 2:45-3:45p.m., Hall H
One of the biggest and most anticipated panels of Comic-Con finds HBO's George R. R. Martin book adaptation hitting the big hall. Cast members and Martin will discuss Season 2 of the series, which is sure to play to a packed house. Better line up early for this one.
Arrow Screening and Q&A, 3-4 p.m., Ballroom 20
CW's hotly anticipated new series featuring DC Comics' The Green Arrow hosts a special screening and Q&A session with the cast.
Breaking Bad, 6:45-7:45 p.m., Ballroom 20
AMC brings the cast of their smash hit show for one-on-one Q&A and a sneak peek for the fifth season of the show.
DC Talent Search Orientation, 10-11 a.m., Room 4
DC Entertainment's VP for art direction and design Mark Chiarello will present an informative orientation session and discuss the different needs of DC Comics, Vertigo and MAD magazine brands. To have your work reviewed, attendance to this orientation session is mandatory.

Tron: Uprising, 2:15-3:15 p.m., Room 6A
It's been a few years now since Tron: Legacy hit theaters and while we continue to wait and see what happens next with a third Tron movie, Disney XD is bringing the Grid to Comic-Con. Panelists include Elijah Wood, Bruce Boxleitner, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Tricia Helfer and will feature clips from Disney's upcoming original series.
DC Comics – The New 52, 4:15-5:15p.m., Room 6DE
The New 52 and The New 52 Wave 2 have been a boon for DC and this panel aims at giving fans a peek at what else is planned in the DC make-over. Panelists include David Finch (Batman: The Dark Knight), Geoff Johns (Justicce League, Green Lantern) and many other talents from the DC Comics family.
Entertainment Weekly: Powerful Women in Pop Culture, 4:15-5:15 p.m., Ballroom 20
Fan-favorites Kristin Bauer van Straten (True Blood), Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead), Kristin Kreuk (Beauty and the Beast), Nikki reed (Twilight) and Anna Torv (Fringe) talk about playing characters that have redefined the rules for women. As SDCC programming puts it, the panel is essentially "a discussion with women who kick ass."
Dark Horse: Joss Whedon, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Ballroom 20
If you miss Whedon at the Firefly reunion, no worries. One of the perks of directing a little movie called The Avengers means you get multiple panels at SDCC. At this panel, Whedon will talk about upcoming Dark Horse Comics properties including Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Expect a fair share of Marvel/Avengers 2 questions during Q&A.
Resident Evil: Damnation Worldwide Trailer Premiere, 7:30-8:30 p.m., Room 5AB
If that half-hour Hall H panel doesn't quench your Resident Evil thirst, this panel will provide a 7-minute sneak peek along with a trailer premiere and Q&A session with filmmaker Hiroyuki Kobayashi (Japanese producer of the Resident Evil franchise) and Makoto Kamiya (Resident Evil: Damnation director).

You only need to look at the first two issues of this Marvel series to know what a huge hit Avengers vs. X-Men have been. Issues 0 and 1 are now in their 6th print cycle with subsequent issues on multiple reprints as well. Last week's AvX #7 X-Men variant edition sold out in many stores on the day of release. If you've got questions about this Marvel mash-up, this is the place to ask them. 'Nuff said.

Part of the fun of Comic-Con (and yes, it's supposed to be fun), is checking out all the cool cosplayers as they dress up and emulate their favorite movie, TV, comic book and pop culture heroes. The masquerade hands out various awards at this always popular event. So popular, there will be overflow seating in Room 5AB and 6A.
