Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender Featured in Poignant New '12 Years a Slave' Motion Poster

It may not be on your radar right now, but 12 Years a Slave is the early front-runner to win all sorts of honors once the awards season gets underway next month.

You can get a glimpse of Chiwetel Ejiofor who stars as a free black man from upstate New York who is kidnapped and sold into slavery during the dark antebellum days of U.S. history in the new motion poster below, courtesy of Fox Searchlight.

The film also stars Michael Fassbender who is earning his own awards buzz for portraying a slave owner who takes ownership of Ejiofor's character in the film.
