Celebrate Earth Day with Disney's ‘African Cats’ and ‘Chimpanzee’

African CatsToday is Earth Day! Have you wished the earth a happy Earth Day yet? Is that something you do, or would that just be weird? Anyway, those looking to celebrate all the ways in which our planet is supremely awesome can start by watching Disney’s 2011 Earth Day offering, African Cats.

Each year on Earth Day, Disney puts out a documentary that shines a larger light on one particularly wondrous aspect of our home planet. In previous years, we’ve seen the films Oceans and Earth, and now in 2011 we get African Cats. Narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, African Cats is a documentary that focuses on two cat families and the ways with which they raise their families in the wild.

In addition to African Cats, Disney has taken this opportunity to tease their 2012 Earth Day offering, Chimpanzee. Hmmm, I think we’re beginning to spot a theme here. Make sure you scope out both trailers below, and be kind to our planet today. After all, it’s the only home we’ve got right now – so take care of it!
