The end of the week brought about a flurry of casting news.
Harry Potter alums are moving on to a couple of re-imaginings. Emma Watson is currently in talks to play the title character in Disney's Cinderella live-action movie while Daniel Radcliffe has joined the live-action re-telling of Frankenstein as Igor.
Meanwhile on the fanboy front, Bryan Singer continues to add to his cast for X-Men: Days of Future Past, potentially bringing back Halle Berry to reprise the role of Storm. While Singer hasn't officially announced it just yet, in an interview with Shadow and Act, the actress confirmed that, "she would be returning in the role. Most likely. Practically 90% sure."
In other sequel casting, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes adds Gary Oldman to their growing cast which already includes Zero Dark Thirty's Jason Clarke and Let Me In star Kodi Smit-McPhee. Oldman will play Caesar's main rival as he leads a small band of San Francisco-based scientists and survivors against the apes 15 years after James Franco created the virus that enhanced the apes intelligence in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
In other sequel casting, Anchorman: The Legend Continues adds Meagan Good and Dylan Baker to the cast. While the official plot hasn't been released, rumor has it that the sequel will take Ferrell's Ron Burgandy from sunny
Whale's Vagina San Diego to the big time in New York.
Finally, David Duchovny wants to make more X-Files movies and he's seeking fans' help to secure a third movie. The actor, who stars in the submarine thriller Phantom this weekend, wants fans of the franchise to write letters to Fox to persuade them to make another movie. "Chris Carter, Gillian Anderson and I, we're always on board. You want to write FOX and get 'em going, you could wheel me out. I'll play Fox Mulder forever."
