Casting: Angelina Jolie Considers Kate Middleton Biopic, Chloe Moretz Up for 'Carrie' Remake

Mind you there's very little to go on here, including an unnamed source and total speculation printed by British tabloid The Sun, but Angelina Jolie is reportedly so enamored with the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and her husband, Prince William, that she's considering producing a biopic about the life of the Princess.

An unnamed source close to the couple laughed at the report saying William and Kate have not been approached by Jolie.

The couple is currently on a private vacation at an unknown location after William's seven-week duty off the coast of Argentina in the Falklands.

On to more concrete news. When word broke that MGM and Screen Gems were teaming up to remake the Stephen King classic Carrie, there was some concern as to who could play the lead actress. At the time, Megan Fox and Lindsay Lohan were the two leading candidates. Time passed and Saoirse Ronan's name started popping up after Fox and Lohan faded from discussions.

According to Vulture, the latest batch of actresses up for the role are Hugo and Kick-Ass star Chloe Moretz and Marley & Me actress Haley Bennett. Bennett will star opposite Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling in this summer's Lawless.

The fact that Moretz and Bennett are now being considered pretty much means that Ronan is out, which is a shame since she's such a talented actress, though not to take anything away from Moretz and Bennett. Other actresses being considered including Dakota Fanning, Emily Browning and Lily Collins. Shailene Woodley passed on an offer from MGM.

While the remake continues to cycle through actresses, they have managed to pin down a director in Kimberly Peirce. Peirce directed Boys Don't Cry, which earned Hilary Swank her first acting Oscar, and most recently, the Iraq War-themed Stop-Loss.

Who would you pick for the lead role?
