'Carrie' Teaser Trailer: Chloe Moretz Sets the Screen of Fire

“Everyone! Exciting news! Here’s the teaser trailer for #Carrie!! Tell me what you think ;) hope you like it!”

That was Chloe Grace Moretz, tweeting the link to the first look at Kimberly Peirce’s remake of Stephen King’s Carrie, with the young actress in the lead. (Julianne Moore will be playing the role of Carrie’s mom, a part made famous by Piper Laurie in Brian De Palma’s 1976 treatment of the same novel.)
The clip is very short: 56 seconds that show us an aerial shot of the aftermath of Carrie’s prom-night … reaction. And it ends with Moretz doused in pig’s blood. As it should be. See for yourself:

MGM and Screen Gems aim to have the updated Carrie in theaters on March 15, 2013. Are you excited to see what this team can do with King’s vintage novel?
