Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren Get the Band Back Together for 'Red 2' Trailer

Hollywood has yet to find the “Next Generation” of action heroes. Tobey Maguire, Christian Bale and Chris Pine try to carry the torch, but we keep gravitating back to the icons of our action-movie past. Arnold Schwarzenegger returns for The Last Stand. Sylvester Stallone will try to avoid taking a Bullet to the Head on Feb. 1. And this new trailer proves that action heroes only get more gracefully badass as they age.

Red 2 reunites Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker and Helen Mirren for another round of international espionage and good-natured ribbing. Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) directs the sequel, which also adds Catherine Zeta-Jones, Lee Byung-hun and Anthony Hopkins in a vengeance story that looks to have Mirren’s character tracking Willis, who still likes to claim that he has retired from the CIA’s “dirty” assassination business.
But I’ll let the trailer speak for itself:

The first Red was an absolute blast, with all of the game cast members planting their tongues firmly in their cheeks to deliver a combustible blend of action and comedy. This one looks to maintain that mood, which should help equal the box office once the sequel opens on Aug. 2.
What do you think of the trailer? And will you check out Red 2 when it opens this summer?
