Regardless of how you feel about The Twilight Saga, you have to admit there's a part of you that's somewhat sad to see the franchise come to an end this weekend. We've been through a lot together over the years -- from arguing over whether we're Team Edward or Team Jacob, to obsessing over life-altering comic-con panels -- this franchise has given us so much to talk about. Sure, there's bound to be more Twilight in the coming years, be it on the big screen or on television, but for now the sparkly spark will be extinguished as we prepare for a near future that does not include Bella, Edward, Jacob or Renesthemenaceee.
So let's join hands (and teeth) for one last time as we delve into the maniacal world of box office prediction (as it pertains to a Twilight movie). The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2 has already pulled in $30.4 million in midnight ticket sales on Thursday, giving it (and you) a head start when it comes to predicting its opening weekend numbers.
Breaking Dawn -- Part 1 did similar business, sucking up $30.25 million in midnight sales, while Eclipse did $30.1 million and New Moon did $26.3 million. Should Breaking Dawn -- Part 2 continue to pull in numbers close to that of Breaking Dawn -- Part 1, we're looking at the final Twilight movie finishing its opening weekend with about $140 million. That's my own personal prediction, not Fandango's official estimates. We'll see what the final number looks like on Monday morning.
So that's all I'm going to give you in advance of your prediction. Will Breaking Dawn -- Part 2 take in at least $140 million, or could it make more? Sound off below with your final box office predictions!
