Box Office Poll: Who Will Win The Weekend? (3/18-3/20)

It’s a new weekend, which means it’s time for a new film featuring aliens to hit theaters. This time it’s the comedy Paul, starringSimon Pegg and Nick Frost as a couple of fanboy blokes who travel from across the pond to the US to visit places like Area 51 and Comic Con. Hilarity ensues when they pick up a foul-mouthed alien (voiced by Seth Rogen) along the way. Joining Paul in theaters are a new sci-fi flick starring Bradley Cooper called Limitless, and Matthew McConaughey suits up for the drama-thriller The Lincoln Lawyer. Let’s take a look …

Paul
What’s the Scoop: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost star in their first Hollywood film as a couple of fanboys who take a road trip with a nasty, foul-mouthed alien named Paul.
Why It Might Win The Weekend: Aliens are the hot property right now, with Battle: Los Angeles taking the top spot last weekend, and with two relatively low-profile films opening alongside it, Paul definitely looks to have the upper hand on paper.
Limitless
What’s The Scoop: Bradley Cooper stars alongside Abbie Cornish and Robert De Niro in this cool-sounding sci-fi flick about a writer who discovers a secret drug that gives him super human capabilities.
Why It Might Win The Weekend: There’s some really great buzz building for Limitless, but will it be enough to secure it a top spot at the box office?
The Lincoln Lawyer
What’s The Scoop: Matthew Matthew McConaughey plays a smooth-talking lawyer who works out of his Lincoln town car.
Why It Might Win The Weekend: Well, bonus points go to the film is McConaughey takes off his shirt, right?
My Prediction: Limitless is the only PG-13-rated film of the lot, which may help it in terms of box office, though it’s hard to bet against the alien comedy, Paul. Yeah, I’ll go with Paul for the win.
Now it’s your turn to sound off and let us know which film you think will win the weekend.
