Box Office Poll: Who Will Win The Weekend? (1/14-1/16)

Wow, it feels like we haven’t been back here in awhile, right? Between the holidays and the early part of the new year, studios haven’t really been releasing multiple new films each weekend. But now that they’re starting to get back into the swing of things, we’re back asking which new film you think will win the weekend. So here we go …

The Green Hornet and The Dilemma

What’s the Scoop: Seth Rogen plays the iconic hero who, following the death of his wealthy father, teams up with his father’s assistant Kato as a new masked crimefighting duo.
Why It Might Win The Weekend: It’s a film that’s been long in the works, and from what we hear it’s a pretty damn good time. Visionary director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) is behind the camera, which automatically means he’ll be serving up something that’s at the very least fun to watch. The extra 3D factor should help its box office numbers considerably.
What’s the Scoop: Vince Vaughn plays a dude who finds himself in a dilemma when he catches his best friend’s wife cheating with another man.
Why It Might Win the Weekend: The familiar cast – Vaughn, Kevin James, Jennifer Connolly, Winona Ryder, Channing Tatum – should be enough to get people in seats. Will it be enough to secure a win at the box office? That’s your call …
My Prediction: Gotta go with Green Hornet for the win. The 3D should power it through to the top.
What do you think?
