Best of the Week: Emma Stone in New 'Spider-Man' Posters, First Look at Alice Eve in 'Star Trek 2' & More

The Amazing Spider-Man director Marc Webb joined Twitter today. His first tweet is an Instagram-y looking pic of Peter Parker displaying incredible balance. And a street light displaying incredible strength.

If you're planning on journeying out to check out The Dictator next weekend, you'll be happy to know that there will be a teaser for Anchorman 2 playing during the previews. Or you could just wait until we post it.

Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace are featured in a seemingly reluctant kiss in a first look still from Brian De Palma's Passion. The film is "an erotic thriller in the tradition of Dressed to Kill and Basic Instinct," and tells the story of "a deadly power struggle between two women in the dog-eat-dog world of international business." No release date, but certainly looks like a nice change of pace for McAdams who has been stuck in romantic comedy/drama mode for a while now (Sherlock Holmes aside).

It's a tad bit on the violent side, so you'll just have to hit the link to check out The Raid remade with Claymation cats.

Warrior director Gavin O'Connor has lined up his next project, a thriller set in Japan titled Yakuza. Hopefully it will be seen by more people than the under-seen Warrior.

Andre Benjamin from music group Outkast is set to play Jimi Hendrix in the biopic All is By My Side. The film begins shooting this month and co-stars Imogen Poots and Hayley Atwell. It should be noted that the Hendrix family is not on board with the project.

It seems at this point we're going to get a new Brave clip everyday until the film is released on June 22. Here's the latest, featuring Merida's mischievous brothers.

Check out three new Japanese character posters for The Amazing Spider-Man. The text on each explains who the characters are. Dr. Connors: A genius scientist. The man who knows the father's secret. Emma Stone: Peter's first love and destined woman. Peter Parker: A lonely hero with a personal secret. Click on the posters for larger versions.

Check out a pair of Mondo Avengers posters from artist Tyler Stout. This pair completes the first run of the Mondon Avengers series, which you can check out here. Click on the posters below for larger versions.

Jessica Chastain dropped out of the running to play the female lead in Iron Man 3. A few days later, Rebecca Hall emerged as the leading candidate for the gig.

Take a behind the scenes look at Safety Not Guaranteed, starring Aubrey Plaza and Mark Duplass. The film opens in theaters June 8.

Following The Avengers mammoth record-breaking opening weekend, director Joss Whedon penned a letter to his fans, both new and old. The movie is expected to pull in another $100 million this weekend and top $1 billion globally.

Fans of the marital arts film series, Ip Man, will be happy to know that Donnie Yen is apparently now returning to the third film about Bruce Lee's mentor/trainer. Originally, Yen had said that he would not be participating in the third film, but has since had a change of heart. And yes, this one will be in 3D. [Twitch]

MTV's Yes/No Game is back, this time with the cast of Snow White and the Huntsman.

A new still from Joe Wright's Anna Karenina, starring Keira Knightley arrived online this week. The film opens November 9, just in time to make an awards season push.

The first trailer for Reuben Fleischer's Gangster Squad landed this week. The film stars *deep breath* Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Nick Nolte, Emma Stone, Giovanni Ribisi, Michael Pena, Robert Patrick, Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo and opens October 19.

Here's a first look at Alice Eve from the set of Star Trek 2. Rumors that she might be playing a Klingon, well, she's in half of a flight suit and her forehead is smooth. Okay Trekkies, time to recalibrate your speculation.

And finally, if you're struggling to find a last minute gift for your mom this Mother's Day (it's on Sunday), the folks over at SNL offer up the ultimate surprise gift with E.L. James erotic novel, Fifty Shades of Grey.
