The talking heads at CBS news have provided a tiny peek into the Seth Grahame-Smith adapted novel, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Kinsey actor Benjamin Walker dons the iconic top hat. He stars as a revenge-seeking, ass-kicking version of President Lincoln, fueled by his hatred for blood-sucking vampires after his mother is murdered by one of the supernatural creatures. The Timur Bekmambetov-directed actioner was co-produced by Tim Burton — who was able to tear himself away from Dark Shadows long enough to help shed some light on the dark side of El Presidente.
CBS also shares an interview with the lead star, who promised "huge fight scenes and great moments of drama," as well as "the greatest hits of Lincoln's life, from the mysterious death of his mother through the Gettysburg address." Walker boils it down as an honest portrait of the man, as well as an action-thriller. The axe-wielding political legend can be spotted doing his thing in the clip below, but come back to us later for the trailer — where we'll also be able to hopefully check out co-stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Mary Todd Lincoln, Alan Tudyk as Senator Stephen Douglas, and more.
