Ben Stiller Returns for 'Night at the Museum 3'

Get ready for more museum hijinks. Twentieth Century Fox announced today that Ben Stiller will return for a third outing in the Night at the Museum franchise. Shawn Levy is also slated to return as director of the franchise he has helmed since the first film arrived in theaters back in 2006.

The overarching storyline of the Museum franchise follows Stiller's security guard character Larry Daley as he experiences various adventures with exhibits at museums that come to life at night. In 2006, the action was centered at New York's Museum of Natural History. In 2009, the sequel brought the action to Washington D.C. and the Smithonian Museum. There's no word as to where this three-quel will take place, but don't be surprised to see familiar faces return to the franchise.

Levy's last directed film was Real Steel, though he has the Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson comedy The Internship coming to theaters this summer.

Are you excited for a third Museum movie? Where do you think the action should take place? Which characters would you like to see return?
