Angelina Jolie's Daughter to Co-Star in 'Maleficent' in Minor Role

It certainly doesn't hurt to have one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood as your mom. Walt Disney Studios announced today that Vivienne Jolie-Pitt will co-star with her famous mom, Angelina Jolie, in Maleficent.

Vivienne will have a minor role (pardon the pun) as a child version of Princess Aurora. Elle Fanning is portraying the slightly more grown up version of Aurora.

Maleficent tells the tale of Sleeping Beauty from the perspective of the princess' evil nemesis and arrives in theaters March 14, 2014.

The film co-stars Juno Temple, Miranda Richardson, Shartlo Copley, Sam Riley and Imelda Staunton. The Sun reports that Jolie thought that her youngest daughter would be perfect for the role. "Ange thought it would be a fun experience for her and Viv to share," says a source who seems close and comfortable enough to use shortened versions of the actress' names. "Viv is a natural."

A few years ago, Shiloh Jolie Pitt played the role of Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett's young daughter in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Yahoo reports that the Jolie-Pitt kids are a little jealous of their sibling.

"The other kids are now nagging Ange and Brad to land them roles."

Vivienne has been working occasionally as a child model for Old Navy, Burberry and other brands.

What do you think of Jolie introducing her daughter to the world of acting in a Hollywood blockbuster?
