Andy Serkis: "Trailer for 'The Hobbit' Arrives Next Month"

During a discussion with IGN, actor and current Hobbit second unit director Andy Serkis teased that the trailer for the first part of Peter Jackson's highly-anticipated The Hobbit would arrive next month.

"There will be a trailer fairly soon, actually. Around Christmas time, I believe."
Thanks to Serkis, the smart money on where to catch our first glimpse of The Hobbit as the trailer will most likely be attached to The Adventures of Tintin, a film co-produced by Jackson and Steven Spielberg.
The conversation also turned to Serkis' duties as Second Unit Director with the actor revealing that he hopes the gig will lead to future directing opportunities.
"I'm having a ball. It's a huge operation, really. We're on the road at the moment, at various different locations in South Island in New Zealand. There are some truly remarkable landscapes that we're filming in. It's just stunning."
Serkis also shared some thoughts about the now well-publicized technical details of the movie being shot in with RED EPIC 3D cameras at 48 frames per second (as opposed to the usual 24 frames).
"It's unlike anything I have ever seen before. The brain has become so attuned to watching films at 24 frames per second. This is something completely different. It's incredible. You feel inside it and surrounded by it. People will not be disappointed."
And on that note, we can only wait for the Thanksgiving holiday to usher us into the final month of the year and our first glimpse of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
