'Anchorman' Offering Fans a 'Superticket'... and a Mustache Sweepstakes?
Ron Burgundy loves scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch. But if we know everyone’s favorite anchorman, he’s going to love this news, which fans will view as a ticket to Pleasure Town.
Paramount Pictures will partner with Fandango and AMC Theatres for an Anchorman: The Legend Continues “Superticket” that will give fans a chance to see the upcoming comedy two days earlier than most, ahead of its U.S. debut on December 20. The studio dabbled with this concept back in June with Marc Forster’s zombie thriller World War Z, and now wants to expand the offering to a nationwide audience.
Interested? Here’s what you need to do. Register at the official site www.AnchormanMovie.com/superticket ahead of the on-sale date of Tuesday, November 26. By signing up, it ensures that you will be the first to hear the full details about this ticket offer. We even hear that the message sent to fans might be coming directly from Ron Burgundy.
And he’s kind of a big deal.
Adam McKay directs Anchorman: The Legend Continues. In the sequel, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) returns to the news desk with several familiar faces in tow: Coanchor and wife Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weather man Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), man-on-the-street reporter Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), and sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner). The action shifts to New York City, where Ron will attempt to conquer the world’s first 24-hour news channel.
