Amy Adams is Lois Lane in Zack Snyder’s ‘Superman’

The Superman movie news keeps flying at us, and it continues today with news that director Zack Snyder has chosen Amy Adams to play Lois Lane. Adams becomes the latest actress to take on the iconic Lois Lane role, one that was previously played by women like Margot Kidder and Kate Bosworth in earlier films.

The latest big-screen Superman installment won’t be connected in any way to the previous movies, and it comes with a script (and story) from David Goyer and Christopher Nolan, who were responsible for the ridiculously successful re-launch of the Batman franchise. Not much is known about the plot, though word has it this Superman story will be a bit more grounded in reality and will follow Clark Kent as he balances his journalism work with the personal struggle of actually being Superman.

Henry Cavill has been cast as Clark Kent/Superman, while Kevin Costner and Diane Lane will play his adoptive parents here on earth. The search is still out for villains (General Zod and his cronies are said to be the baddies this time around), with actors like Edgar Ramirez (Carlos) and Michael Shannon (Boardwalk Empire) said to be in contention.

Do you like Amy Adams as Lois Lane? She’s a bit delicate, though her recent role in The Fighter brought us a much stronger Adams than we’ve seen in the past. Definitely an interesting choice, but will it work? Sound off below …
