They aren't the first names you'd think of when it comes to the Robert Rodriguez-produced franchise reboot of Predators, but Adrien Brody and Topher Grace will indeed lead an eclectic cast of various B and C-list actors as they venture off into the jungle to fight some pretty nasty Predators.
Adrien Brody and Topher Grace to Hunt 'Predators'
Brody will play the former soldier-turned-leader of the group (i.e.: the Arnold Schwarzenegger part minus the muscles and thick accent), while Grace will play this unassuming accountant type who actually turns out to be a serial killer. Both men will be joined by Alice Braga (tough female killer), Danny Trejo (assassin who carries two uzis strapped to his back), Mahershalalhashbaz "Say That Ten Times Fast" Ali (a man unafraid to die), Walt Goggins (the loose cannon) and Oleg Taktarov (the former Russian operative).
Like the first film, this rag-tag group of killers will be forced to comb their way through a jungle while being hunted by a Predator. What's changed, though, is that they were all kidnapped and brought to the Predators' home planet for a sadistic game of cat-and-mouse versus not one, but multiple Predators. Yup, the stakes have been raised – and if this film does well, look for a brand new franchise starring Brody (who's signed on for more than one movie).
What do you think about this cast? I personally can't see myself rooting on boring old Adrien Brody, but maybe the producers saw something we haven't. Do you think he can lead the charge?
