Aaron Eckhart Kicks Butt in New 'I, Frankenstein' Trailer

In one comic book movie (The Dark Knight) Aaron Eckhart plays the good guy gone bad in Harvey Dent/Two-Face. Next January, Eckhart will return to the big screen as another misunderstood soul – Dr. Frankenstein's doomed creation, Adam.

This isn't the classic monosyllabic, muttering, slow-moving behemoth from classic movie lore though. I, Frankenstein is set in the dystopic present where gargoyles and demons are caught in a ferocious ongoing battle for power with Adam caught in the middle as both sides seek to discover the secret to his immortality.

The film is produced by the guys who produced the Underworld franchise and is helmed by director Stuart Beattie (writer of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies).

This first full trailer certainly looks like an Underworld meets Pirates movie on steroids. Will movie fans be interested in seeing this comic book movie adapation next year?

I, Frankenstein is set to hit theaters January 24, 2014 and costars Bill Nighy and Yvonne Strahovski.
