A 'Hunger Games' Holiday Gift Guide, Plus Early Buzz on Some Big December Movies

With December arriving this weekend, that means two things: 1) The holidays are quickly approaching, and 2) Hollywood is about to kick its Awesome Movie Meter up to eleven. Over at our sister site, they've been on top of both fronts, doling out a fantastic little gift guide for Hunger Games fans that features holiday ideas from all the leading fansites across the web. If you love The Hunger Games (or know someone who does) and you need something to hold you over till Catching Fire hits theaters next year, they've got you covered.

Among the highly-anticipated movies hitting theaters in December, early word is already out for Zero Dark Thirty and Les Miserables, with critics praising both (and especially Anne Hathaway's performance in the latter).

The month of December also brings us more from The Dark Knight Rises, which hits DVD and Blu-ray on December 3. Here's an in-depth review of Christopher Nolan's final Batman movie, as well as a really cool gallery of concept art from the film.

What's this time of the year like without a whole ton of awards to give out? Yup, awards season will kick into high gear next week with critics groups and guilds announcing their favorites of the year, and gets the ball rolling with 10 Movies That Need Help from Critics This Awards Season.

Finally, slap on that movie nerd hat and join discussions on the future of Batman, upcoming Marvel movies and Brad Pitt's most badass roles

That's just the tip of the iceberg, so make sure you hit up for more geeking out on all things movies.
