Went to this movie with my wife , nephew and long time friend. Knew from the start it was going to be an extremely well done cinematic trip. We laughed till our eyes watered at times and never knew where the movie was going to take us next. There is so much attention to detail in this flick, and the cinematography is amazing. Douglas Aibel, who did the casting in this movie is a genius and the young actors are outstanding. The movie has somewhat of a Terry Gilliamesque feel to it with great offbeat characters. The only thing that was strange is how we we're the only ones laughing in the theater and clapping at the end. We just chalked it up to the other viewers not getting it, you know, no turds floating in a pool, or flatulence.

I loved this movie!! Wes Anderson's style of story telling and his take on unconventional romantic love make beautiful cinema. Some parts of the movie have you looking back at your childhood and remembering how no one understood you back then. Others are so crazy they'll make you laugh. Not a movie for tween girls or boys!!

Sort of a greatest hits of all of Wes Anderson's themes, techniques, favorite actors, etc. If you like his movies, then go see this.

An amazingly wonderful film, like a odd and quirky (almost) modern fairytale. One of my favorite movies of the year, if not my absolute favorite. Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward were refreshingly perfect as Sam Shakusky and Suzy Bishop, the two love-fated pre-teens. Great acting, wonderful dialogue and story. Must go!

My husband and I went to see this because the ratings were so good and it had a strong cast. We weren't disappointed. It's a bit quirky, but the story line is good and all the characters are played very well. Enjoyable.
