  Great movie. I loved it. Everybody in the audience loved it and the kids applauded at the end. The 3-D is awesome. Loveable characters. A short extra in the middle of the credits.

  I went mainly because I saw Stephen Colbert was the voice of the President(hopefully an omen for 2012) but was expecting little more then a kiddy film. Boy were my expectations low, it had a good mix of humor that adults and children alike could enjoy. There were scenes that kids were laughing out loud at because of the humor, while subtle(somewhat) references to older events that adults are infinitely more likely to get/understand.
  It also had a good steady pace for the storytelling with a clear beginning, middle, and end that doesn't seem to happen as often as should in movies nowadays.
  The voice acting was very solid, the CG was excellent and the story was good.
  All in all, I'd have to say to go see this movie in 3D soon. If you have kids, they'll love it. If you don't, that's fine. Don't be afraid to go alone, thankfully the stigma of not being able to go to a "cartoon" without a kid as an excuse is slowly but surely dissolving.

  Good for both kids and adults!

  My son and I went to see this movie the other day and we both were not disappointed. The movie had an easy to follow story line, great characters, and the 3D affects were the best that I have seen in any of the 3D movies that I myself have viewed.

  Monsters vs aliens is a great movie because it is suitable for children of all ages,adults,and grandparents.It is very jam packed full of action and its also very funny.I think anyone who goes to the movies must go to this movie

  Best 3D Ever!

  This was the best 3D movie I have ever seen. Better than Bolt in 3D and worlds better than Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D. It was well worth the $12.75 per ticket. Not only is it a must go for the 3D but it's a must go for the movie itself.

  MONSTERS RULE

  Surprisingly Good!

  I went to this movie with all my friends mainly because I liked the fact that it was in 3D. One of my friends totally refused to go, saying it looked like the worst movie of all time. That friend ended up really liking it, and laughing a ton! Really good movie, plot, and characters! BOB is hilarious as is Insectasaurus and all the other characters. The 3D looks REALLY GREAT, and has really improved since those crappy red and blue glasses you used to get at the theater. Would have loved to see it in the IMAX if it wasn't broken down and too expensive. Overall, great movie for ANY age! Go see it. This isn't some mom that went to see it with their kid, it is an actual person that saw it with friends.

  My kids liked the movie, but some parts of it were scary for them. Overall, they liked the movie. It was cute for adults too. Nice family movie for 4-5+ years.

  brought my kids...

  they seemed to love it. but I fell asleep. it started a little slow at first with the bride at the beginning but after the other monsters came on the scene it got funnier. love the blob's laugh, the cockroach is hilarious and the fish dude hmmm...he was ok. now mind you I did not see this in 3D so maybe it would have made a difference (more interesting I mean).
  overall I've seen better and compared to much funnier animations like: madagascar PT ONE and shrek PT ONE this movie in my opinion was average.
  but the kids loved it! Different strokes for different folks so go and see it rate it for yourself!

  Saw this movie in 3D with my 3 yr old daughter, it was her 1st movie and she loved it. I think that the 3D made the movie.

  We went on opening night with our two elementary school-aged kids and they really liked the movie. There is some good stuff for the adults too. The only problem is the price. With the 3-D surcharge, it cost almost $50 just for tickets. That is just too much to go see a movie.

  definitely for kids

  I was so excited about this movie as it had some of my favorite actors voicing characters - stephen colbert, seth rogan, reese witherspoon, hugh laurie, will arnett, rainn wilson... however the storyline and humor were a little to plain and simple... i felt that a lot more could have been done, especially with such talent behind the scenes... it reminded me of a number of nickelodeon movies-- so it would definitely be great for kids...
  
  so if you have kids it might be worth taking them to see it in the theater... but if you don't have kids, don't waste the 10 bucks on movie tickets for this one... wait for the dvd...

  Monsters Vs. Aliens

  Great! Awesome! Excellent! Perfect!
  Favorite parts include: when Bob eats all the clone Galaxars, when the missing link says "let's take this thing down!" then gets hit by a piece of the golden gate bridge, and when Susan decided that she was going to return to Ginormica size to all just to save her friends.
  A fun movie! We need more G and PG rated movies with good messages.
